Arai Yakushi Baishoin Temple (Arai Yakushi Park)
This temple is also referred to as the “Eye-healing Buddha, "as Tokugawa Kazuko,a daughter of Tokugawa Shogunate second shogun Hidetada,was suffering from an eye disease and recovered after prayers were offered to Yakushi (the healing Buddha) at this temple. In addition, a form of pediatric medicine known as “Mosogan,” which was advertised as being able to cure any serious illness, is also popular, and the temple was also know as a “temple for those raising children,” with many faithful believers.

Mount Takao

The Ghibli Museum is a museum showcasing the work of the Japanese animation studio Studio Ghibli.The short films here that you can only watch at the art museum are must-see. Entrance to the Ghibli Museum is strictly by advance purchase of a reserved ticket which specifies the appointed date of the reservation.

To Mitaka station, take the JR Chuo Line. About 20 min. from Nakanno station. From the Mitaka South Exit, about 15 min. walk along the Tamagawa Josui "Waterworks" to the museum.
